HELLO
My name is David, and I'm a junior Game Designer at Futuregames. My passion for videogames started back when I was a kid, when I got my first videogame console; a Nintendo Gamecube. Ever since I started playing videogames I have been very interested and excited to learn more about games, such as the psychology behind game design, and also videogame music and art.

My experience as a software developer started as a kid, when I became interested in programming software using C++ at my school. I experimented a lot with creating software for our school's Arduino, such as a functional toy car with wheels, lights and a wireless remote, as well as a wall-mounted movement sensor with an alarm. I also enjoyed creating and publishing my own levels in various games, such as Geometry Dash and Super Mario Maker.

After middle-school, I applied for a high-school IT-programme at Dragonskolan in Umeå. During my time in high-school, I grew a passion for developing games in my free time using GameMaker Studio. Since I started working in GameMaker, I have created many solo projects, such as Frame Shifter, Bullet Blockers and many others.

Last year, I applied as a Game Design student for Futuregames North in Umeå. I have had the privilege to work together with two amazing teams, and as a result, creating two entire games with only a few weeks of development. The first game is a 2.5D Platformer called Hamster Carnival, in which I was the Product Owner and Level Designer. The second is a FPS Platformer called Eclipse, where I was the Level Designer. I also helped the artists with our lighting and visual design, since I am hugely interested in these areas as well. I am proud of my contributions to both of these games, and I cannot wait to start on our third project this year.

I also have 7 years of experience with composing and producing music using FL Studio. Currently, I am working as a freelancer composer, and I am open for other work opportunities. Just shoot me an email if you want to get in touch!
